Recently had to go on Newstart which was bad enough but my job provider signed me up for motivational and physiological monitoring with said company once every 10 days by phone. I (57/M) then was put under the supervision of a 20 something pregnant lady from WA (I live in QLD) who was very nice but completely clueless to my situation. We spoke mainly about my cat or decent movies seen lately, This went on for 3 months and we said goodbye without ever achieving anything.
Recently due to a computer screen left open at my job provider I found out each session cost over $200 but when I requested some additional funds for interview clothes this was declined.

Most likely the job provider has an intrest in this Konekt company either by direct ownership or a deal in place so they all make money off it. Job providers are notorious for this. Every get asked to complete some useless course or certificate? There's more than a good chance they own the company thats providing it. The entire system is a rot to steal taxpayer money while blaming unemployed people.
Reply: APM (employment services) acquired Konekt in 2019.
